During some class activities, your teacher may request you take a screenshot on your computer. This page will show you the easiest way to take a screenshot.
Start by clicking on your Start button in the bottom left corner of your screen. This will open the Start Menu.
In this menu are all the apps on your computer in alphabetical order. Scroll down until you see Snip & Sketch. Click on it.
Snip & Sketch will open in the middle of the screen. To take a screenshot, click New in the upper left hand corner. Your screen will turn grey and the mouse pointer becomes a small cross. Now click and drag the mouse over whatever you need to screenshot. Once you let go of the mouse button you will get a copy of the screenshot.
If the screenshot is not how you want it, click New. This will allow you to retake it as many times as needed. To edit the screenshot, use the tools in the top middle of the page. If the screenshot is "picture perfect" click Save As in the right hand corner.
The Save As menu will open in the middle of your screen. To save the screenshot click on Pictures on the left-hand side, give the screenshot a name by typing in the File Name field, and click Save. The screenshot is now stored on your computer under Pictures!
Pressing the Windows Logo Key + Shift + S at the same time will let you take a screenshot that you can paste into a document. Once you've taken the screenshot, go to a document or even an email, and press CTRL + V at the same time.
