TRECA Digital Academy celebrates its Board members during School Board Recognition Month.
January is School Board Recognition Month, and TRECA would like to thank their amazing school board members for their service to the school! School board members are ordinary people who have an extraordinary dedication to our public schools. Board members make personal sacrifices, assure local control over public schools, and help govern public schools.
School Board Recognition Month is a time to show appreciation and to begin to better understand how school board members work together to provide leadership for our schools. The school board works closely with parents, educational professionals, and community members to create the educational vision we want for our students. It formulates goals, defines results, and sets the course for an educational program that ensures all students have the resources they need to succeed. The school board is accountable to the public, and regularly oversees assessments of the district’s students, staff, and programs. Community members are always welcome to attend Board meetings. Upcoming meeting times can be found at treca.org/about. Let’s learn a little more about the community members that serve on TRECA’s school board.
